We are dedicated to ensuring that all our teachers, leaders and support staff have the opportunity to access high quality and ambitious CPD.  CPD that is both relevant to the current needs of our schools and the education system, whilst also personalised to support our staff to reach their individual career goals and realise their full potential. 

We are proud to be able to offer professional and personal development training that ensures that teachers, leaders and support staff are able to have a lifelong and fulfilling career in our trust with a number of different professional routes and training available.

We aim to engage all staff with a challenging and exciting learning culture and encourage openness, discussion and feedback so we can develop and continuously improve what we do.

Not only do we offer exceptional professional learning opportunities to our own GLA teams, we can also share our expertise to other settings outside of our Trust.

We are also developing the 2024/2025 edition of our well-known GLA Trust Teacher Toolkit, which is valued by all GLA employees.  The toolkit serves as a basis for teaching and learning across the Trust. It provides an overview of the key principles and strategies that have been adopted by the GLA. These are all rooted in sound educational research and pedagogy that has been tried and tested amongst our teams and pupils over many years. 

I have been with the Trust from the very start of my career and the CPD has always given me just the right support to be the best I can be; as an NQT, a Recently Qualified Teacher, a Year-Group Leader and now as an Assistant Head.

Throughout my time as Nursery Manager, in-house, and external, CPD opportunities have also been easily accessible and extremely beneficial to my role. My journey within the GLA means I have had the opportunity to share effective practice.
